As the piston reaches to the bottom of the intake stroke, the intake valve closes. In the next instance, the piston moves in an upward direction that leads to the compression of trapped air fuel mixture. This causes the spark plug to fire resulting in the ignition of the compressed air fuel mixture. A great force because of the combustion process pushes the piston down the cylinder. This leads to the turning of the crankshaft that generates power to drive the jeep.
